Event Details
Presented as part of the ANAM at NGV: Australian Art and Music series She Speaks: Voice of Home celebrates the music composed by contemporary Australian women juxtaposed by the Australian art on exhibition at NGV Australia in Federation Square. The She Speaks series, and specifically this concert, was initially inspired by the collaboration between composer Lisa Cheney and ANAM Fellow, Gemma Tomlinson, which culminated in the work When We Speak. The works programed around this piece have been selected to highlight the diversity of Australian composition, and to demonstrate the vast cultural influences in this country’s music.
