Event Details

Waldo Fabian was a founding member of the Catholics. He is a bassist, composer, singer, and producer who has worked with various pop, Latin and jazz bands and musicians such as the Party Boys, Floyd Vincent, Disco Montego, Delta Goodrem, Swoop, Anthony Copping and Robin Loau as well as having two solo albums to his credit (Dejame Tocarte, a South American release through Sony and Loco Festival/Mushroom records). Waldo has had two No.1 single's on Chile’s premier station, Radio Corazon and his song 'Fiesta Latina' picked at number 12 in the Aria Club Charts in Australia.

An active writer, Waldo is currently getting ready to start promoting his brand new album Groovy Cumbia due out in September 2012 through MGM plus completing a jazz and world music album with Sandy Evans, Carl Dewhurst, Toby Hall, Jackson Harrison and Ed Goyer. His versatility also includes writing film scores including Random 8, winner of a Bronze Palm in the Feature Narrative section of Mexico International Film Festival and on Emma-Kate Croghan’s film Strange Planet.

The Waldo Fabian Quartet highlights his instrumental compositions. The band is comprised of four outstanding musicians, all well know in the local jazz scene. Together they bring an engaging and well-crafted fusion of Jazz, Latin and funk.
