In three sets, Luke Howard, Nat Bartsch & Tim Stevens will each present music that is new, old and very likely in the moment.
Luke Howard's music is “totally sublime”, “absolutely heavenly” and “cinematic in its approach.” He is a masterful pianist with an intense and creative approach that weaves insight from classical music into the weft and woof of great jazz improvisation and feeling.
Nat Bartsch brings beauty, clarity and an enchanting vulnerabiltity to her music that brings with it a courageous call to care for all those who hear it. The maturity of her ideas and the grace of their musical expression often leaves one spellbound.
Tim Stevens brings to the piano his stunning mind, critical precision and dignified finesse. There is a rare doubleness of mind that becomes one between Tim and the piano, a careful negotiation of time, space, drama and delicacy, as if the two were in a resplendent dialogue that never forgets the other in its thoughts.
