8:00pm Sorcha Albuquerque Trio
The Sorcha Albuquerque trio plays a mix of swinging standards from the great American song book as well as her original compositions. This swinging ensemble lead by guitarist Sorcha Albuquerque, features Steve Barry on organ and Paul Derricott on drums. The trio works together to deliver an authentic sound that pays homage to the great organ trios of the 60s through exciting improvisation and interaction.

9:30pm Sam Gill & Simon Barker
The Jazzgroove Conversations series continues with this debut duo performance of JG Resident Artist Sam Gill & Simon Barker. Their collaboration has grown out of Sam’s recent studies with Simon, and the pair will be drawing on a variety of rhythmic and textural sources during a compelling set of improvised music.
