An intimate afternoon of chamber music in the stunning surrounds of the Utzon Room. The Strelitzia Trio is a rising star in the world of chamber music. Formed in 2008, these talented young musicians won the prestigious Sydney Eisteddfod Musica Viva Chamber Music Award in 2009, and have benefited from the guidance of some of Australia’s most eminent musicians. The Trio perform repertoire ranging from the great classics, to rare gems and modern masterpieces. For their Sydney Opera House debut, they will perform Australian composer Matthew Hindson's spirited and rhythmic Piano Trio. The Utzon Room was especially designed for chamber music and in addition to superb acoustics, boasts stunning views of Sydney Harbour and The Royal Botanical Gardens.
