Event Details
Petrichor is a dynamic new ensemble formed by friends Rowan Hamwood (flute), Alexina Hawkins (viola) and Jessica Fotinos (harp) who met in 2012 as students at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM). In late 2012 they made their debut as an ensemble presenting two concerts of major works for the flute-viola-harp medium in Melbourne, and were finalists in the 2012 Prize for Chamber Music held at ANAM. In 2013 they are Ensemble-In-Residence for the Melbourne-based Forest Collective.
In May they are holding a concert which includes three new works by Melbourne composers, two of which were written for the group.
