Event Details
The launch of Lisa Harper-Brown’s and David Wickham’s new CD of beautiful Australian art songs.
The launch concert is in Loreto Nedlands amazing Performing Arts Centre, fronted by a quiet courtyard. (There's plenty of parking along the three flanking roads.) We'll perform a selection of songs from the disc, with music by Roy Agnew, Geoffrey Allen, Michael Bertram, Raymond Hanson and Paul Paviour.
We'll be presented by Professor David Tunley, and we're very proud to have such a distinguished scholar and champion of Australian music on board. We'll also preview the next recording, which will feature some of Australia's outstanding women composers, Peggy Glanville-Hicks, Margaret Sutherland, Elena Kats-Chernin and Sally Whitwell, who has recently won awards for her CD of the piano music of Philip Glass.
