Event Details
The Tom Vincent 'Morphic Resonance Project' morphs classic jazz standards and originals. The group has great audience communication, responding to each moment and audience vibe; they even take requests. The music is influenced by John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Eric Dolphy, McCoy Tyner, Clifford Brown, Charles Mingus, and Miles Davis. Tom is unusual and yet personable. His audience rapport is engaging. Sometimes different members of the group spontaneously lead the music into sudden or gradual shifts of tempo, time signature, key, mood, overall groove, random segues and occasionally medley collages.
Performers: Tom Vincent - piano, Danny Healy - tenor and baritone sax, bass clarinet, Leigh Barker - double bass, Alf Jackson - drums
