Event Details

PAUSA II - Brigid Burke (Bass Clarinet, Laptop audio & live video projections), Adrian Sherriff (Zen Drum, Laptop, shakuhachi & trombone) - is a new media performance group which creates all original work through sound, live laptop, woodwind, percussion, shakuhachi, trombone, acoustic, improvisation and live video.

Brigid and Adrian came together through a common interest in generative art and performance, and the challenges of developing live works that reflect the role of the computer in instrumental improvisational contexts. They have built a repertoire of new works, collaboratively devised through performances and rehearsal that draws on their respective backgrounds in contemporary classical, free improvisation, noise music, algorithmic composition, non-western influences and breakbeats. Their performance is sometimes traditional, treating the computer as one part of an instrumental trio, but constantly drifts away from this reference point.

Performers: Brigid Burke, Adrian Sherriff and Grayson Cook

Featured non-Australian music: Dennis Miller Echoing Spaces
