West Head Project | OutHear
Switched Out

Over the last 10 years West Head Project (WHP) and Outhear have focused on presenting music in site-specific areas. In this project WHP focus on the intersection of energies, cultures and spaces - electromagnetic/mechanical, human/non-human, urban/non-urban, new/old technologies - navigating the borderlands. In 2013, WHP collaborated with Uncle Larry Walsh, who told stories about the Maribyrnong River. It rained, but we all felt it was a wonderful event. Uncle Larry joins WHP again in Melbourne. We’ll pray for good weather, come prepared.

Artists: Jim Denley (wind instruments + electronics), Dale Gorfinkel (prepared trumpet), Matt Earle (electric guitar) & Anthony Magen (soundwalk facilitator & tape recorder).

Melbourne event includes guest artist Uncle Larry Walsh. Co-presented by Melbourne International Jazz Festival & New Music Network
