Event Details
A concert of music that celebrates the beauty of nature and mourns her senseless destruction at the hands of human greed and ignorance. As well as the evocative sound of Wind Energy this concert will feature a slideshow and talks by some of Sydney's most passionate and celebrated environmentalists.
MC and guest musician for the concert will be Emma Ayres, best known to most people as the bubbly voice of ABC Classic Breakfast radio program. The concert will feature three world premieres including Nero's Fiddle by Kristofer Spike, inspired by anger, frustration and sadness at the way our leaders seem to be fiddling while the planet burns.
Proceeds donated to Nature Conservation Council
Performers: Kristofer Spike piano Ewa Kowalski flute Rachel Tolmie oboe Andrew Kennedy clarinet Monique Irik violin Emma Ayres viola
