There are some new songs and some songs which have been reworked for this song cycle. An interesting comparison can be made, for example, between this version of "Rejoice in the Lord" and my earlier rendition. In this version I have tried to include a leaning to major cadence, and also more arpeggiated Irish influenced chords to describe the playing of the harp. (ex. bar 3, third system, p3. the word "lyre"). I have also linked the piece with "Es gibt nur wenige seelen." (the fourth song), through the chords at bars 1 and 2, third system p.4. after 'O you righteous'.
