Product details
Christ the King is a setting of two poems by New Zealand poet, James K. Baxter: 'Song to the Father' and 'Song to the Lord God on a Spring Morning'. These poems express the poet's relationship to God through imagery taken from the New Zealand landscape. The title comes from the feast day of October 25 in the church calendar, and the plainsong from this day is used at different times through the work, most audibly at the beginning and the end.
