Summary: In December 2003, ACOF (Australian Composers' Orchestral Forum) was held in Hobart, a project organised jointly by Symphony Australia and the Australian Music Centre. Six emerging composers were chosen to write a short work for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. These composers were Jane Stanley, Daniel Salecich, Andrián Pertout, David Chisholm, Alicia Grant and Padma Newsome. Brooke Green interviews the six participants about their ACOF works. John Davis, General Manager of the Australian Music Centre, talks about the history of ACOF since 1980. Also interviewed are conductor Kenneth Young and ACOF 2003 tutors, composers Brenton Broadstock and Andrew Schultz.
