Product details

What fun to be asked by the Nexus Ensemble to create a light-hearted chamber work with a Christmas theme along with 13 other Adelaide composers. Mine is a meditation on bells - hence the title, but also the reference to our children's nursery song - Ding, dong, bell, pussy's in the well, the Wizard of Oz - Ding, dong the witch is dead and the carol - Ding, dong merrily on high!

Christmas is a time of nostalgia and memories and this piece rings with cheery bells and chimes for listeners to float into that space.

Commission info: Commissioned for Christmas concert of 13 Adelaide composers "A Nexus Noel".
