Product details
Fusa (Greek) means 'bellows', the source of the accordion. The title indicates my interest in the instrument, and the relation between sound and air that is implicit in its function. The fine nuances that result come into dialogue with the sound colours of the violoncello. Rhythmic and melodic ideas in the work take their origin from the traditional folk repertoire of the accordion. However they are only hinted at, like fleeting moments that appear from earlier memories.
