Product details

The words to this song are from a book about the Scottish, Upper Clyde Shipbuilders work-in. The book A Rose Loupt Oot celebrated the historic work-in by Upper Clyde Shipbuilders in the early '70's. When told their workplace was to be closed down, the ship-builders kept working in the shipyard hoping to keep their jobs. The campaign grew and found national and international support. 80,000 people marched to Glasgow to support the work-in. After over a year, the government relented and the workers won the right to work. This anonymous poem is about the work-in.
