Sheet Music: Score
In anticipation / Sonia Jacobsen.
by Sonia Jacobsen (2002)
This is a fun and energetic short piece with a rhythmic language inspired by music from the Balkans with bouncy odd groupings of 3 and 2 eights. The harmonic language is at times tonally ambiguous because of fast tonal shifts, but it is also derived from a modern jazz harmony aesthetic.
