'Where to lay the head' is an electro-acoustic work based on poetic texts by Franco-Belgian poet Henri Michaux, and deals with Michaux's life-long concern with the space within. Includes voices of three members of The Song Company.

Structured improvisations for percussion and a French translation of an Ancient Greek hymn to the sun, create a journey through iconic languages from antiquity to the present and beyond. Percussion performed by Andrew Yencken and David Hewitt, voice by Krine Medicin. Composition and realisation by Andrew Yencken and David Hewitt.
Non-commercial recording. For study purposes only.
Broadcast on "The Listening Room" on ABC Classic FM, 9 February 1998.
