Product details
Little worlds are pieces of different mood and style written as auto therapy. They are music for music's sake, each its own small and complete experiential realm. I think in terms of world-making as an artist. New domains of sound or melody or texture formed from my own inner world of borrowings, inventions and concepts for the aesthetic and artistic benefit of the listener or concert-goer.
I. Pastoral- a tranquil and evocative sonicscape of rich harmony based on phraselets of three parallel chords and flowing melody.
II. Frenetic - This is an hectic world with thoughts clashing almost faster than the time needed to realize them. Like the flight of a bird, you know what has flown by, but the individual detail is subsumed.
III. - Rumination - Inward looking and self assessing and self organising. Initial strident and conflicting thoughts are brought together to form a more harmonious placement of idea.
IV. Light and Leaf - the play of color and light in the music here is much the way I perceive it in the dance and music of leaves in sunlight and the wind. Thus the music shifts through sound centres carring the melodic theme with it.
V. Finale - Here, against a driving staccato theme, the opening pastoral piano part (inverted some) returns with completely different implications. The melody returns also against an almost baroquish piano adaptation of the stacatto theme.
