Product details
Can we but sense his joy was written for a hymn writing competition in 1982, and now - 30 years later, I can't remember if it won. I don't think it did but it was probably a finalist as I remember it was performed at the time. I wrote the text for the piece and I remember my partner at the time - a catholic, having some difficulty with me composing such a text if I wasn't a believer. It didn't bother me then as I was just trying to write a piece within the tradition.
