Summary: 'Nearamnew speak': A radiophonic reading of Nearamnew, the text-based artwork installed on Federation Square Plaza, Melbourne. Nearamnew is derived from the local word 'narr-m', signifying 'the place where Melbourne now stands'. It is a founding work celebrating the emergence of a new space. Written by Paul Carter and read by the author on the shores of Lake Tyrell. With ensemble readings from Andrew Tighe, Anne Lambert, Lucy Bell, Julian Garner, Bill Conn, Andrea Moore, Kate Hulme, Liam Gibson, Jack Mannix and Ellena Baroni, from Opera Australia's children's chorus. Produced by Andrew McLennan.
