Summary: 'Paternity': A composition in which the composer has imagined a scene from rural life, with hurricane lamps flickering in the pre-dawn light while the land is forcefully cleared for cultivation. Black says his approach to composition is similar, changing and reshaping to make new expression. Presented at the 33rd Festival Synthèse, Bourges 2003.
