Product details

The text is the result of various processes applied to the phonemes of two words meaning war, namely, bellum (Latin) and werra (old high German) and the present tense in Latin of the verb to love (amare). The process consisted of creating a continuum of phonemes and selecting from it, beginning with only soft consonants leading to a selection furthest away from the words. Gradually, except for one 'lapse', the source words are approached but never fully consummated.

The singer's part is integral to the fabric of the piece and not a solo on another level, except for some moments near the end. The two instrumental parts also contain a timbre series which consists of various colours, some of which include the use of vibrato and flutter-tongue.
