Product details
This piece is an arrangement (for marimba duo) of the second movement of "Anthea's Garden" (2003) which was originally written for solo percussion. It is intended to appeal to children and was written as a musical depiction of a chase scene between a girl, a sunflower pot plant and a cat. The original five movement work was a requiem for a close high school friend, and the subject matter was chosen according to things that Anthea loved. Her plan to be a children's book illustrator gave me a framework to work with musically.
