This work is a character study and a homage to a remarkable composer and guitarist, Stepan Rak. In particular, it recalls a memorable performance of his Sonata Mongoliana..... not in a concert, but after his recital, in my lounge room at about 1am!
The interpretation should be like the man; brilliant, sensitive, wild and somewhat improvised.
