Radio feature. Writer and producer Martin Thomas spent some months in Paris in 2001 and became obsessed with the great Gothic cathedral Notre Dame and its reverberant spaces. The vanished sound world of Paris churches became the impetus for an exploration beyond Notre Dame itself, to ponder past and lost sound worlds.
