These songs are settings of the first three of five poems by
Judith Wright with the overall title "Some Words". I therefore
decided to change the title.
The last two poems of the complete set are much longer than the
first three and I felt, from the point of view of the songwriter,
that there would be an imbalance, musically, if I set all five.
Additionally I felt that the the longer poems lack the sharpness,
the exclamatory character, of the first three which I have tried
to match with my settings.
