Product details
Two Merry Rebbeim is an instrumental arrangement of two Ashkenazi folk songs about a Rebbe (Grand Rabbi) in both. Rebbe Elimelech Weisblum of Leżajsk [Yiddish: ליזשענסק - Lizhensk], Poland, (1717-1787) is a real person of historical significance. The piece should be played with schmaltz (a specific rubato befitting the style). The cellist who is seated (even if the other three performers elect to stand) shall operate the hi-hat.
