Product details

Larry Sitsky has established himself as one of the major Australian composers of his generation. The three violin concertos on this recording reflect his eclectic compositional style, drawing inspiration from the writings of Johannes Kepler, the 17th-century astronomer; the Italian composer Ferrucio Busoni; the mystical writer and teacher George Ivanovich Gurdjieff; and the ancient Chinese Book of Changes, the I Ching. This recording features three concertos written for the violinist Jan Sedivka who is a close friend of Sitsky.

Liner notes include programme notes and biographical notes on composer and performers.
