Broadcast as part of the 1997 'Perspecta' exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales 'Between Art and Nature'.
'West of west' records the musical response of improvising musicians Denley and Wishart on a visit to Tiboobura adjacent to the Sturt National Park, in far west NSW. 'Fundamentals' seeks to register the sequences, the spaces, the times and the events of the bush, because they are accurate, complete, independent but also because they are compelling.
Broadcast on "The Listening Room" on ABC Classic FM, 15 September 1997.
