Summary: 'Wongaburra birds': The composer recorded the voices of three elderly residents of a Queensland nursing home and became fascinated by their laconic, drawling speech which reminded him of the vocalisation of birds. He notated the speech as music and performed it on his flute. Includes an interview with Robyn Ravlich about the work.
