A little piece of heaven : for retuned guitar / Marian Budos.
Library shelf no. 787.87/BUD 3 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
A Little Piece of Heaven is the final piece from the Southern Cross Trilogy for solo guitar. The guitar uses an alternate tuning (E1 - C - G - C - Ab - C) to help create richer sonorities and extend harmonic possibilities. The piece is a depiction of one's personal struggles with their own dark side and the inevitability of facing their own demons. These struggles are eventually resolved and one feels as if a little piece of heaven descended in their life and brought a long-awaited calm and peace.
