Work Overview

This work is playable by any group of three or more instruments in a form decided by the performers. It is inspired by M.C. Escher's exceedingly popular lithograph "Convex and concave" of 1955, translating convex to on-beat and concave to off-beat. The sense of on-beat and off-beat keeps switching over and is made ambiguous by the interaction of the three parts.
