Work Overview
I composed Round Roads in Canberra, Australia, where I spent my formative years. The music is something of a landscape, reflecting my attachment to the distinctive country around the city, its recent burning through bushfires, and my nostalgic childhood memories of the area, experienced particularly on bicycles. There are also elements of the bluster and grandiosity of political speech-making of Canberra's parliament.
