Work Overview
The far southern regions of Tasmania, on the edge of remoteness, suggested ideas and moods analagous to my own inner landscape at the time of composing this work. The particular resonance of the very opening chord, for example, symbolised, for me, something of the pervading atmosphere inherent within both this rugged, isolated area and my personal emotions.
