Work Overview
The Lime Tree was composed in Leipzig during a visit to the St Thomaskirche in 2012. It was the 800th anniversary of the Thomanerchor and hearing the choir sing was a great inspiration for the piece. It was composed for a young violinist called Hannah Crinnion. it was her 10th birthday and The Lime Tree was a gift for her. The Lime Tree is a short work in three movements and also includes a children's story.
