Work Overview

This uplifting large-scale mass uses the ordinary Latin mass text. It is musically accessible; drawing on various influences and is enjoyable to sing. It is a positive work written as a celebration in a time when the world could certainly do with a little more joy and optimism. It was written to accompany the John Rutter Gloria and shares some musical gestures, particularly in the brass writing. Its instrumentation is also similar.

Mass of Deliverance

Posted by Margaret L Goodman [] on 10 February, 2015

I was traveling in Australia and New Zealand for three weeks and happened to attend St. James Church in Sydney on 1/25/15.  I thought the Mass of Deliverance was wonderful and wondered if it had been recorded.  I would love to buy it!
