Work Overview
This quartet/quintet is an arrangement of one of the songs from the dramatic work Wind Rose. Wind Rose is a 35 minute work for full symphony orchestra and 5 voices. It is set to an edited version of an epic poem by Magda Palmer and alternates between dramatic narration and songs. In the work, Lonely Mountain Tops describes the Wind searching desperately for her love, The Paper Bird, who has gone missing.
