Harbour moods ephemeral : for solo piano / Kirsty Beilharz
Library shelf no. 786.2/BEI 2 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
(Momentary Pleasures) Harbour Moods Ephemeral is a fleeting allusion to the rapidly transforming moods, colours, light and reflections of Sydney Harbour. Inspired by the ephemeral, transitory pleasures, joyful glimpses of glowing buildings at sunset, wisps of refreshing wind, glittering coruscating ocean waves, the striking coincidence of urban and natural, of human and the forces of Mother Earth, at times powerful winds, floating clouds, strident bird-cries, rejuvenating rainclouds, lightning dances: a brief encounter, respectful beholden to the nature in our city. Everyday the harbour reveals something different, momentarily metamorphosing, a filigree microcosm of the powerful relationship between people and their environment.
