The piano sound gets modified in various ways: a two chord pattern is looped; a listening laptop works some quiet transformation via a Pure Data patch; a small amp/speaker and contact mic combo drives a bass string to feedback. Sax and oboes appear to round off the piece.
Instrumentation: Grand piano with loop pedal and contact mic/small amplifier+speaker combination resting on bass strings to create feedback by driving the string ; laptop running a Pure Data pitch to sinewave patch, 'listening' via the laptop's mic to the performance ; soprano saxophone and two distant improvising oboists ; crotales.
