This concerto is written in 3 movements, is contemporary in style and utilises traditional fast/slow/fast movement configuration.
Instrumentation: Piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, cor anglais, 2 clarinets in B flat, bass clarinet, 2 bassoons, contra-bassoon, 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion (3 players), harp, celesta, solo violin, strings.
Duration: 33 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — solo violin part requires virtuosic ability
