Work Overview

Herman's Hut was originally composed for small jazz ensemble in 2002. It was arranged for saxophone quartet in 2005. It is in a swing style, in ternary form and includes a section open for improvised solos.

This arrangement for string quartet features 'simulated improvisation' and jazz articulation.
