Written in 1962 while the composer was studying with Priaulx Rainier in London. The Biblical text is from Isaiah 28:16 and Romans 9:33. Other elements are taken from an American Shaker hymn. The work was revised in 1984.
Instrumentation: Unaccompanied voice (A-E treble clef for mezzo-soprano voice).
Published in 2000 by Hovea Music Press as Song of Christ the Rock.
