This composition is a contrafact on the standard On Green Dolphin St. (Kaper/Washington). The melody emulates the linear cross-rhythmic and chromatic language that was pioneered by pianist Lennie Tristano and his contemporaries saxophonists Warne Marsh and Lee Konitz.
