Shower Caps Lock is an open work of any length using scordatura and improvisation. It works with 'numeral aural' cues which trigger specific precomposed modules. The outcome depends on the interpreters as much as the composition. The difficulty lies not so much in the score, but in the real-time interpretion, however, mistakes are part of the concept and the piece should be approached as a fun and interactive string quartet. Keywords: aleatory, game piece, scordatura, improvisation.
Instrumentation: 2 violins, viola, cello.
- In the form/style of: Aleatoric music
