Work Overview
This work pays homage to some of the classical piano music of the earlier part of the twentieth century, with nods in the direction of Satie and Bartok in particular. The first movement was developed from a lyrical idea, and the second and third movements were each composed from the starting point of a chord borrowed from the first movement.
