Work Overview
A solo piano meditation based on the slow movement of Schubert's final Piano Sonata, D.960. The musical material is entirely taken from the original. The tonic triad of C sharp minor is never played explicitly, but is held silently in the bass register throughout to provide resonance. The title puns on the German note-name for C sharp, "Cis".
