Work Overview

This work is inspired by the disaster of 9/11. It reflects on humanity since that time seeking to remind us of the importance of history and religion and our attitudes towards these two concepts. The whole work is a single movement which creates a mood of reflection. This work is melodic based with conversational interaction between the violin and piano. The harmony varies from the expected to the unexpected with no set key, but roving freely throughout the tonality template.
