The invisible lake : chamber orchestra
by May Howlett (2010)
Inspired by elemental features in the Australian landscape such as Lake Eyre and Lake George mysteriously appearing and disappearing over periods of time.
Instrumentation: Flute, oboe, clarinet in B flat, bassoon, horn, piano, strings.
Duration: 8 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — Creative use of articulation and rhythmic elements
Varied approaches in the instrumental writing make for an interesting diversity of textures if phrasing and other markings are observed.
- Has as subject/About: Landscape and Nature
